icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Field Assistant with the Parasitology Laboratory under the Laboratory Sciences Division. The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 6 months, which may be renewable depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
Duty Station – Dhaka
Salary – Tk.12,828/-(consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.
Job Profile
- To visit home of the study subjects;
- To motivate the study subjects and their parents;
- To screen study subjects and collect information;
- To collect stool samples and other biological samples;
- To help the Field Research Assistants in their works;
- Labeling of different samples for storage;
- To help Medical Officer for drug dispensing;
- To transport samples from field to laboratory.
Requirements
- S.S.C. passed or equivalent;
- Should have at least 1 year experience in the relevant field;
- Ability to understand instructions and perform accordingly;
- Ability to solve day-to-day problems with field and laboratory after discussion with senior staff members;
- Must be a resident in Mirpur, Dhaka;
- Proficiency in understanding basic verbal Bangla and English is desirable.
