Senior Data Management Assistant with the Health & Demographic Surveillance Unit under the Public Health Sciences Division (Advertisement #244/11)
icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Senior Data Management Assistant with the Health & Demographic Surveillance Unit under the Public Health Sciences Division. The appointment will be made on a CSA basis for 4 months, which may be extended for further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
Duty Station – Dhaka
Salary – Tk. 22,002/- (consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.
Job Profile:
- Organize and plan routine data entry and observe total data management activities;
- Produce reports from database;
- Maintain security of database, coding and entering data;
- Data receiving, sorting, consistency and error check;
- Coordinate with field staff and report on day to day activities to supervisor.
Requirements:
- Masters in Statistics or Mathematics with good academic records;
- At least 2 (two) years working experience in data management activities. Experience may be relaxed for highly deserving candidate with good academic stand;
- Skills in database management systems and must be able to manage the relational databases;
- Must have knowledge in using MS Access, MS SQL Server, Visual Foxpro, Excel, SPSS, STATA;
- Good writing and speaking skills in Bangla and English.
